Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Featuring stars that each raised the Stanley Cup as members of the mighty Montreal Canadiens, this lot offers skates worn by Mats Naslund at the 1991 IIHF World Championships while representing the gold medal-winning Swedes, along with skates worn by Doug Jarvis during the mid-to-late-1970s with the Canadiens, circa 1975-79. First, the Naslund size 6 skates were originally obtained from the star and are Daoust models correct for the era with “26” handwritten to each blade holder, with a handwritten label affixed to each interior that states “Mats Naslund Skates Worn During the 1991 WHT in Finland, Sweden Won Gold Medal”. Light to moderate use is shown with wear to the leather in areas and a few marks and cuts to the blade holders. The Jarvis skates are Bauer Supreme models with black Bauer blade holders, with Getty Images from the era confirming the correct models. “21” is also handwritten to the interior of each. Heavy use is shown throughout including rusting to the blades. Signed 8” x 10” photos of each player mounted to Styrofoam will accompany, along with LOAs for the skates and COAs for the signed photos.
