Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
Lumber from the iconic career of arguably the all-time greatest NHL defenseman is offered, with a stick used by the incomparable Ray Bourque during his final days with the Boston Bruins in the mid-to-late-1990s, accompanied by a matching model stick issued to Bourque during the mid-1990s and signed. Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 models with slightly differing graphics, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear over the upper shafts, with “Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque” on each underside. The original black tape is in place over the blade and white over the shaved handle on the game-used stick, with light use exhibited, with the blade remaining uncracked, while the game-issued stick sports a “Boston” stamp to the lower shaft, with Bourque signing the front side blade in black marker. Hailing from the personal collection of Ray Bourque, his signed LOA will accompany.
