Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Some classic Parkhurst action from the mid-1950s is offered up here, most of it low grade and with minimum star power. Most appealing, despite none of the real biggies being present, are 87 of 100 from '53-54, with however creases and/or corner wear/rounded corners sending the majority to the F and G realm, with some VGs to come upon. Most notable are 26-Harvey and 28-Moore at F, along with G examples of 10-Nesterenko RC, 47-Delvecchio and Bathgate RC. With heavy toning and really rounded corners is 1-Lumley (P). Five cards have back damage (37-Arbour RC) or tape stains on the front (11-Armstrong). A little over half (56 cards) of a '54-55 set features two dozen with rather significant flaws, most of it back damage (paper loss), including 2-Moore and 82-Sasakamoose RC, while amid the mostly P-F-G rest are acceptable cards of 24-Armstrong, 29-Kennedy, 36-Delvecchio and 46-Lindsay. A crease-free 73-Henry RC (with Lucky Premium back) is an EX (OC) condition standout, with again, no appearances by Howe, Richard, Beliveau, Sawchuk, Horton, etc. The Rocket, big Jean and Plante however show up on decent '55-56 "action" representatives (G to VG), with a wax stain on the back of an otherwise VG+ 59-Hainsworth card, joined by a few other Habs' Oldtime Greats. Mostly F to VG for 15 other Canadiens and Maple Leafs and then back damage or tape stains to report with a dozen more, including Harvey, Geoffrion and Moore. Some relatively inexpensive perusing and fun is up for grabs here.
