Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

The title here sums up well what’s on the auction block here, with the details surely of interest to you. A near set of 1975-76 O-Pee-Chee cards is missing only a Dryden card and two checklists for completion, with however no variations present and displays well in 9-pocket pages. EX (100-Orr) to EX-MT cards look to dominate, with VG-EX and NM representatives also present. There’s a complete 396-card set from ’83-84 with the odd corner ding spotted (Lindbergh RC, 23-Messier/Gretzky Highlight) among the pulled cards. Pages can sometimes hide minor flaws, but overall, the ’83-84s and two gatherings of ’87-88 OPCs generally exhibit only light handling. One 264-card ’87-88 set is complete, with a common missing in another and some nice break-up value to mention. Loose rookie cards include those of (’81-82) Denis Savard (VG) and (’88-89) Brett Hull (NM+), with upwards of 100 extras from both ’87-88 and ’88-89 considered throw-ins due to intermittent condition issues. A bronze rendition of Patrick Roy’s Topps rookie card carries some weight/appeal, is in a well-preserved screwdown Lucite holder and comes with a COA numbering the metal production 1822 of 2500. Completing are complete sets of ’82-83 McDonald’s stickers (36) and ’82-83 Steinberg Canadiens oversized cards (24), as well as some 200 roughed-up OPC cards from the late-‘70s and early-‘80s. Several possibilities with this stash.
