Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

O-Pee-Chee's 1971-72 issue continues to be, with good reason, a hobby favorite, with this ensemble in rather uniform condition, exhibiting moderate handling and wear but no abuse. Accounting for most are VG, VG+ and VG-EX examples (the latter two outnumber the VGs), with, to a lesser extent, sub-VG and EX entries also in the mix. The key Ken Dryden rookie displays as a VG+ card with a crease, although the technical grade is lowered further by a smidgeon of paper loss the front, an inch down from the top left corner. A creased card can be no better than VG+ in our book, with a small crease in the Guy Lafleur and Marcel Dionne RCs helping to send those off-centered cards to that grade. At VG are two Orr's (both with stains), along with special Howe and Beliveau cards, with 251-Orr All-Star at VG+. The #111-1st Series Checklist is filled-in and multi-creased, with the other checklist (G) unmarked but with two creases and corner wear. Some colorful entertainment awaits the high bidder here.
