Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Coached by legendary collegiate guru Red Berenson and captained by Kevin Porter, the Michigan Wolverines lost a mere 6 contests in 2007-08 and earned the CCHA regular-season championship. The Big Ten School also advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four while winning the conference tournament championship. This ring was presented to Berenson for the Wolverines status as CCHA regular-season champions. Size 12 with an approx weight of 31 grams, a zirconia-encrusted Michigan “M” sits over a blue stone on the tableau, with “2008 CCHA” on the left side and “Champions” on the right. The right shank sports “Frozen Four” above along with the school’s season record of "33-6-4" below, while the left features an enamel Wolverines logo with “Berenson” above and “HC” below. The inner band is engraved with "LTM" (Lustrium) and "Gordon A Berenson". Showing moderate wear from use, there are numerous scratches over the outer band and shanks along with a few minor ding along edges, with the ring displaying beautifully. A signed LOA from Red Berenson will accompany.
