Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Last seeing high-level hockey with the Cleveland Barons in the late-1970s, the state of Ohio was blessed with the granting of an NHL expansion team in 1997, with the Columbus Blue Jackets icing their first team for the 2000-01 season. Originating from that memorable inaugural season where Columbus played their first home game on Oct 7, 2000 vs Chicago, we have a first-game replica jersey. Pro Player labeling is affixed to the collar along with “XXL” sizing, with embroidered Pro Player and Western Conference logos over the reverse hem. Styled with the Blue Jackets team crest utilized from the first season until 2006-07, no numbers have been added, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. The jersey is just missing the “Inaugural Season” crest that sits over the right breast. In beautiful condition with no issues, this historic piece is ready for display.
