Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Worn in an unknown capacity, and coupling two of the world’s greatest inventions with hockey and beer, we have a vintage 1970s hockey jersey with “Falstaff Beer” team crest. Peaking in the mid-1960s, shortly before the offered sweater was produced, with production of over 7 million barrels, the Falstaff signature brand went of production in 2005. Featuring the company’s logo within the partially-embroidered team crest, GC Knitting labeling is affixed to the collar along with a gold-coloured tackle twill “3” numeral sewn to verso, with the vintage durene sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 44. Most likely a recreational league sponsored by the suds maker – or possibly a company team, the jersey sports light use with a few marks visible along with small holes over the left sleeve and upper reverse.
