A member of the Boston University Terriers for two seasons, Tony Amonte was drafted by the New York Rangers and spent 17 seasons in the NHL, while also representing the US internationally at every level. This Chicago Black Hawks jersey was worn by the Massachusetts native in 1993-94 after being acquired on March 21, 1994 (played in 7 regular-season games and 6 playoff contests). A sewn-down Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the traditional multi-coloured Indian head team crest with chain-stitched detailing, "10” appears over the sleeve and verso in layered tackle twill, with matching tomahawk crests sewn to each shoulder. A Sports Registry bar code is affixed above the inside hem, with “CHA” handwritten in black marker along the top of the fight strap. An LOA from the Chicago Black Hawks will accompany.
Most likely worn by Amonte in both the 1993-94 regular season and playoffs due to the condition, with heavy wear to the garment throughout, puck and sticks marks absolutely cover the lower front and sleeves. There are also burns, scrapes and material pulls, with holes over each elbow section and pilling beneath the fight strap.
