Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The first European-trained starting goaltender to win the Stanley Cup, Dominik Hasek dominated throughout much of the 1990s, with his consecutive Hart Memorial Trophies late in the decade unmatched by any other keeper. From his time with Buffalo in the late-1990s, we have equipment used by The Dominator, including a throat protector and chest/arm protector, with these accompanied by Sabres home and away uniform socks. First, the custom-made chest and arm protector was produced by Brown, with the JB552 model sporting heavy wear throughout, with some red discolouration to most of the interior areas along with sweat staining. Next, the throat protector was made by Cooper and sports embroidered logos, with this matching model seen used in numerous Getty Images from the 1997-98 season (#301136, #72477685, #304137 and #1272371). Lastly, both pairs of uniform socks show good use.
