Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Appearing in just two NHL games for the St Louis Blues in 1974-75, Jim McCrimmon began his professional career in the WHA with two seasons for Edmonton, beginning in 1974-75, with additional seasons later spent in the AHL, SHL and other leagues. From his first WHA season with Edmonton, we have an Oilers jersey worn by the Ponoka native in 1974-75. Hailing from the first set of jerseys for the season that were worn October to December of 1974, Rawlings labeling with “48” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a Steichens tag sewn to the inside hem. Styled with a solid orange team crest with “Oilers” appliqued in royal blue twill, “22” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “McCrimmon” across the affixed nameplate in single twill. There is evidence of a former nameplate, with the current nameplate original to 1974-75.
Sporting a few marks over the lower front along with a pair of small holes over the upper chest, just a few burns and scrapes are visible on the sleeves, with some fraying to a partially-detached section of the nameplate. There is also a large team repair to the loop-style fight strap.
