Like Ken Dryden before him, Patrick Roy was already a Stanley Cup hero when his rookie cards were discovered by youngsters in O-Pee-Chee wax packs, with this example in virtually the same condition as it was when it was pulled from a pack. The "7" it received from Beckett for centering vastly contributed to the card's overall grade of 7.5 NEAR MINT+, since the following sub grades also appear on the label: Corners 9, Edges 9.5 and Surface 9. Attractive high grade cardboard picturing one of hockey's best clutch goalies awaits a new appreciative home, with a few light surface scratches to the Beckett holder to note.
