Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Known for his bad junk food-eating habits during his first NHL season, Patrick Roy showed hockey observers that diet isn't everything as he turned-in some heroic playoff performances en route to winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP of the postseason, backstopping the Canadiens to Stanley Cup glory. More than 500 regular season and a record 151 playoff wins later have collectors with an appetite for Patrick's rookie cards, with this O-Pee-Chee example earning a mark of 8 NMM from KSA. We would say a merited mark too, as we cannot identify any obvious flaws. A few very subtle light scratches to the holder itself are mentioned for accuracy.
