Serving as the oldest Toronto Maple Leaf in history to put the puck in the net, Joe Thornton achieved the feat at 41, vs the Winnipeg Jets, on April 24, 2021. From his 12th season with San Jose, we have a Sharks alternate captain’s jersey worn by the St Thomas native in 2016-17. A label with “58+” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Sharks team crest in use since 2008-09 that features embroidered detailing, “19” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Thornton” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. Alternate crests also grace each shoulder, with the NHL centennial crest sewn to the right sleeve. The team patch sits on the inside hem with affixed Fanatics hologram, with the information from the hologram stating "GAME-USED #19 WHITE "A" JERSEY WITH "NHL 100" CENTENNIAL PATCH WORN DURING GAMES BETWEEN DECEMBER 12, 2016 AND APRIL 3, 2017 - SIZE - 58+".
Sporting just a few dark marks from game-use including over the left sleeve, the jersey remains in beautiful condition.
