Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The 15th season of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the blue and white would set a then-franchise record of 23 wins and 53 points in 1931-32. The Leafs would defeat both the Black Hawks and Maroons in two-game, total-goal series before a best-of-three triumph over the Lester Patrick-led New York Rangers to claim the club’s first Stanley Cup championships as the “Maple Leafs”. We have a framed team picture of the 1931-32 Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs. At 10” x 12” (exposed), and most likely hailing from a publication, with a center fold line and staple holes, “Super Art Co” is printed within the bottom right corner, along with a Toronto address. The full squad is depicted in full-length poses, along with their position and a facsimile signature. Framed to 15” x 18”, there is some creasing visible, with light wear to the frame.
