Extremely popular with collectors due to their storied use throughout the early post-expansion days of the 1970s and early-1980s, we offer a gorgeous high-grade durene St Louis Blues jersey from 1980-81 issued to Don "Red" Laurence. With the collar labeling appearing cut away and removed, the vintage Sandow jersey measures-out to roughly a size 56. Sporting the classic blue note team crest in layered tackle twill, “7” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, with “Laurence” across the affixed nameplate. A large and unique loop-style fight strap is also intact. Sporting a crisp team crest and numerals that show no wear, there is some very minor pilling to the interior, with the jersey in overall like-new condition. Seeing action in only 1979-80 with St Louis, Laurence is listed in the Blues 1980-81 media guide and played 71 of 80 games for the club’s farm team, so the possibility exists of this jersey being worn by Laurence while called up by St Louis during the season, and could have been worn in warm-ups.
