Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Slightly taller than the first series of tumblers issued the previous season, York Peanut Butter again produced a set of glasses for the 1961-62 NHL season, and complete at eleven, four tumblers each were made for Montreal and Toronto along with a trio featuring Detroit players. This collection includes three glasses from the 1961-62 promotion with an example from each club, with Terry Sawchuk (Detroit), Jean Beliveau (Montreal) and Tim Horton (Toronto). With these tumblers much harder to locate than glasses produced for the 1960-61 promotion, condition is pleasing across the board, with each remaining fully intact with bright applied graphics and no chipping, with just a small ½” hairline crack that runs vertically through the face of Horton, with this barely visible, with a small scratch also present and noted for full disclosure.
