Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Exceedingly popular and one of the most important rookie cards from the 1950s is that depicting young fireballer Sandy Koufax as he embarked on an illustrious but all-too-short Hall of Fame career. It took time of course for the Brooklyn native to blossom into the most dominant lefty the game has seen, with PSA, after its time examining the inviting specimen, rendering an EX-MT 6 assessment. Pleasing colors contribute to the eye appeal, while a touched bottom right corner, light wear to the one above and a small indentation in the green, just under the “S” of “SANDY” are to note, with side-to-side centering obviously off. Card #123 speaks of Sandy’s brilliant college strikeout record at the University of Cincinnati and of his prowess at both baseball and basketball in high school. A hero to and an idol of many was Koufax, with this riveting rookie card of history-making Sandy (four no-hitters!) worthy of serious consideration. A trio of light scratches to the front of the PSA holder are to be aware of.
