Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Immensely popular upon their release a dozen years ago and with good reason were special (and gorgeous!) Upper Deck cards chronicling the storied first century of Montreal’s “Canadiens”, with the most important contributors to the club’s success story featured, along with the buildings where many of their exploits were performed. We commend the performance of our consignor whose labor of love resulted in dozens and dozens of autographed examples contributing here. Not only is the 300-card set, (that includes the tougher 201-300 segment), included, additional signed cards have been placed “over” their counterparts in 9-pocket pages, save for the nine signed cards which have been encapsulated and certified by PSA/DNA. That lineup features two different of both Jean Beliveau and Patrick Roy, as well as Scotty Bowman, Bob Gainey, Chris Chelios, Carey Price and Charlie Hodge, while the Hall of Fame signing roster is, as one would imagine, impressive and lengthy! It includes “regular” cards autographed by, (in the order in which they appear in the 1-200 portion), Beliveau, Cournoyer, Duff, Lach, Lafleur, Langway, Lapointe, Lemaire, Mahovlich, Henri Richard, Robinson, Recchi, Denis and Serge Savard, Shutt, Carbonneau and Vachon. Other auto’d cards include the penmanship of Pete Mahovlich, Redmond, Naslund, Napier, Harris, Pronovost, Muller, Acton, Backstrom, Bonin, Bure, Nilan, Jarvis, Fillion, Courtnall, Damphousse, Desjardins, Goyette, Green, Harper, Houle, Keane, Tardif, Lambert, Larose, Larouche, Lebeau, LeClair, Lemieux, Richer, Risebrough, Roberts, Rousseau, Smith, Talbot, Gilles Tremblay, Turgeon, Koivu, Kovalev, Plekanec, Markov, Kostitsyn, St-Laurent and still more! Some of the aforementioned HOFers and team captains have signed other cards on which they appear, including Richard (3 different), Lach, Moore, Lafleur, Beliveau, Cournoyer (3 diff), Carbo (2 diff), Robinson, Koivu, Turgeon, Muller and Damphousse. At the back of the binder and a fantastic complement are nine of the “Habs INKS” autographed insert cards, with that contingent featuring Kovalev, Muller, Plekanec, Andrei K., Gingras, Houle, Hamrlik, Brisebois and Quintal. Check out all of the images and check your funds – this dazzling extravaganza is worthy of ample consideration and will provide enjoyment-plus. In a word, fantastique!
