This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Captained by respected Hall of Fame member Hooley Smith and just their 11th season of action, the Montreal Maroons concluded the 1934-35 NHL season in second place behind Toronto, and defeated the Leafs in a three-game final to capture their second and final Stanley Cup championship in franchise history. We have a vintage photo team-signed by the 1935 Stanley Cup champion Montreal Maroons. At approx 8” x 9 ¾”, the thick glossy-stock image pictures full length images of each player along with HOF manager Tommy Gorman, with the names listed along the base. 18 have signed in either blue or black ink along with Gorman - this includes every individual pictured except two, with the signatures placed over each image. Signers include HOFers Conacher, Connell, Blake and Smith, along with Gainor, Wentworth, Evans, Trottier, Northcott, Blinco, Shields, Miller, Evans, Ward, McKenzie, Gracie, McManus and Gus Marker. The photo exhibits some surface wear along with a large horizontal crease, with a few surface lines and wear to the corners. An LOA from JSA will accompany (17 signatures mentioned instead of the correct 18).
