My goodness, there are a host of aspects to give you the lowdown on here, with different grading companies and several different grades among them. We’ll start with the goodness that commences this 1959-60 pieced-together assembly, with card #1-Canadiens on guard a rather stunning beauty with white borders and bright vivid colors striking the beholder. Even with a tiny upper back edge fray, we rate Plante and company NM. The almost all-Hall of Fame encapsulated roster is led by Canadiens Henri Richard (Beckett 8 NM-MT) and Toe Blake (PSA NM 7), with 40-Olmstead (PSA EX-MT 6) tops among four Maple Leafs. The others are 42-Price (PSA EX 5), 44-Stanely (SGC EX 5) and 7-Armstrong (Beckett 4.5 VG-EX+). Varying degrees of corner touches/corner wear are observed with the raw rest, but not many obvious creases and VG, VG+ and VG-EX examples combining to be the majority, although we count eight that reach EX or beyond, including 15-Imlach RC and 50-Clancy, with Mahovlich close at VG-EX+. Other keys include Maurice Richard (G+), Plante (VG+), Beliveau (VG-EX) and Horton (VG), with partially rounded corners sending Harvey and Bower to the small stack (6) of lower grade exceptions. See what we mean about variety? It’ll lead to multiple possibilities.
