With 95% of Canadians said to have peanuts or peanut butter in their households traditionally, the product was ideal to market hockey premiums for boys from coast to coast, with York Peanut Butter doing exactly that throughout the 1960s when the company offered a number of different promotions. This desirable York Peanut Butter lot includes a complete set of 1961-62 Yellow Backs (43/43) plus a second complete set in album (there is also an original newsprint advertisement and mail-in card), a near-complete set of 1963-64 White Backs (47/54) plus partial set in album (24/54, there is also a second #20 Geoffrion graded PSA 6 EX-MT), and a partial set of 1967-68 Action Cards (12/36, with 11 raw cards and #16 Bower/Ellis/Ferguson graded 8 NM-MT by BVG).

The cards in album show light to moderate wear, with the album sporting a few issues including spine wear, clear tape and creasing, with surface wear to the cover images. The 1963-64 White Backs show a bit more wear overall including to the susceptible reverses which sport light staining, with lower technical grades, with #1 Horton (scuff marks, residue on reverse), #3 Stewart (residue), #6 Keon (staining), #22 Worsley (scuff mark), #25 Rousseau (marks), #38 Pronovost (heavy reverse staining), #40 McDonald (surface wear) and #49 Faulkner (paper loss).
