Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

Earning his fourth William M Jennings Trophy and third Vezina Trophy on the eve of his second Stanley Cup championship, Patrick Roy was also selected to the NHL First All-Star Team in 1991-92, and we offer a Montreal Canadiens jersey worn by the superstar that season. A worn Maska Ultrafil label and size “54” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL logos on the reverse hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, Roy’s “33” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with the NHL 75th anniversary crest residing just above the right breast. The dual-clasp fight strap is intact, and we should note no evidence of any alterations made to the numbers, team crest or nameplate. Sporting light game-use with a few marks and faint burns over the front and pilling to the cuffs, there are also two team repairs just above the front band, with three additional repairs to the lower left sleeve. We should also mention that the jersey was most likely framed at some point as a number of pinholes are present on each shoulder and near the top and bottom seams at each side of the jersey. For those who worship at the alter of St Patrick, this divine Habs specimen is worthy of veneration.
