Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

This 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee set has completeness as an attribute, along with a few neat twists, but expect a low grade batch of star and rookie cards when it is delivered. The vast majority of the key cards are multi-creased and mighty roughed-up, with however a nice gold ink autograph enhancing a Tony Esposito RC, with Serge Savard signing his rookie in bold black marker. Both Gordie Howe Mr. Hockey cards are present, with the no number version badly stained and creased but with an attractive/classic Gordie autograph, while best of the Orr cards is Bobby’s All-Star example at VG+. While flipping through the rest, housed in a binder, you’ll be thinking/saying at the sight of pretty much every 9-pocket page, like we are, “oh, that one’s not bad” and “there’s a nice one.” You should be getting the picture, with our pictures helping. Five other autographed cards are 114-McCreary, 124-Miszuk, 137-Maki, 153-Rupp and 177-St. Marseille. The Phil Esposito Art Ross/Hart Trophy card is numbered 214 on the back and has pleasing NM characteristics, but “286” in black marker is also on the reverse.
