Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Thought to have invented the “spin-o-rama” move he masterfully employed, Serge Savard has related that it was actually Habs HOF defenceman Doug Harvey that dodged the first player using the deceptive technique. This lot contains a trio of items signed by the 1969 Conn Smythe winner, including a Canadiens jersey, vintage skates and a framed newsprint photo. First the jersey is a CCM model with tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Savard adding a white paint pen signature including his induction year to the reverse “1”. Next, we have a 1970s Sport Illustre newsprint photo signed in silver, with Savard again adding his induction year, framed to approx 18” x 24 ½”. Lastly, the skates are 1950s/60s Truline Specified models that show moderate use (worn by an unknown individual), with Savard signing just the right skate in silver, with no issues for the signature. COAs will accompany for each item.
