Earlier diamond items are offered ranging from the 1910s to 1940s and totaling 14, highlighted by a circa 1910 Ty Cobb cast iron bank. Included, we have a 1940s celluloid Bill Dickey catchers wind-up toy, a small 1940s metal trophy with celluloid base featuring a skirted female ballplayer, a 1940s Harwood Official League baseball mint with the original box, a gorgeous 1940s Tober Major League baseball, a 1920s Reach softball box and a generic 1920s baseball with blue and red stitching (heavy wear and staining). There is also a low-quality childs baseman’s mitt from circa 1910, a “Stan’s Café” mini calendar/baseball schedule for 1936 and five early-1900s postcards including an example featuring the Polo Grounds with John McGraw image (postmarked 1914), and one featuring a pair of black children. The Ty Cobb bank sports surface wear to the paint throughout, with the front portion of his left foot broken off. Despite this, the bank still stands freely. The Dickey wind-up exhibits wear to the bottom, with each of the arms attached by string somewhat “stretched”, while the postcards show moderate to heavier wear.
