Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
The NHL shutout king before Martin Brodeur, Terry Sawchuk spent two decades as the league’s premier keeper, and is widely recognized as one of the greatest goaltenders in history. This lot offers a group of four Sawchuk items, highlighted by a 1968-69 Topps hockey card graded Mint 9 OC by PSA. Included, we have an original 8” x 10” media photo from the late-1950s that shows a maskless Terry in action against the Canadiens with editorial notes on the reverse along with a stamp from “Studio Alain Enrg” in Montreal. This is followed by a copy of the Oct 1959 issue of Sport Revue with Sawchuk cover, and an Ultimate Memorabilia card featuring pieces of a Kings jersey and game-worn glove from the 2006-07 In The Game Heroes Double Silver series numbered “1/25”. The magazine and media photo show light wear, with a small scuff mark to the PSA holder.
