Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Another thought-provoking entry from our consignor’s marvelous batch of Dominion Chocolate cards is available here, with A.J. McCaffery’s card #60 the only one of its kind to ever earn a mark of NM 7 at PSA – think about it! And, only ten other such cards with the tab/coupon still present have ever been graded in the history of the company. And, Albert John Bert "Mac" McCaffrey, after winning two Allan Cups (1922, ’23) with the Toronto Granites, scored 19 goals in five games, playing with Harry Watson and Hooley Smith, to help the team (Canada’s representative) to a gold medal at the 1924 Chamonix Olympics...before playing for four teams during seven NHL seasons which included a Stanley Cup with the 1929-30 Montreal Canadiens – what a career, what a card!
*The record books indicate that Dominion Chocolate had the surname spelled incorrectly, with “McCaffrey” being correct.
