Vanbiesbrouck soared to great heights as a member of the New York Rangers and captured the Vezina Trophy in 1985-86. By the early-1990s, he was part of a solid goaltending tandem with Mike Richter that captured the President’s Trophy in 1991-92. Offered here is a fine example of a game-used Victoriaville stick he used to protect the crease during this era and it boasts a bold and large black ink signature from "The Beezer". The original white tape jobs for the knob and blade are still intact and the “VANBIESBROUCK” stamp on the shaft is partially covered by tape. Bidders will also appreciate the signs of wear on this stick which include marks and abrasions on the shaft and paddle. On the shaft, there is quite a bit of red paint transfer. There is some wear at the heel along with black marks on the paddle to demonstrate strong game use. The white tape on the blade remains mostly intact, making for a great piece to display and enjoy.
