Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

From his second Stanley Cup championship season with the Montreal Canadiens, Patrick Roy would be awarded the coveted Conn Smythe Trophy in 1992-93 as postseason MVP, with his 2.13 GAA in 20 playoff contests especially impressive. This stick was used by St Patrick during the 1992-93 Stanley Cup playoffs. A KOHO Revolution model with “P. Roy” stamped to the upper shaft, the original white but now yellowing tape is in place over the blade and cloth wrap over the upper shaft, with a date code on the underside of “16 AVR 1993” (April 16th was the final day of the regular-season, so the stick would most likely have seen use in the playoffs). The stick shows great game-use with heavy wear to the blade including puck marks along with additional wear and marks to the paddle and shaft. The blade also sports a pair of separations along the top and bottom edges, but remains completely solid.
