Joining the NHL during the league’s first major expansion in 1967, the Los Angeles Kings have been especially successful during the modern era, winning a pair of Stanley Cup championships within the last decade. A number of stars have played under the crown, and fit for a king, we offer a pair of multi-signed lithographs that feature the signatures of a dozen past greats including iconic superstar Wayne Gretzky. With each produced by artist Samantha Weddell, “A Time Out in Time” is limited to 102 copies and features a trio of images of the Kings’ bench, with 12 signing in pencil beneath their respective image including Gretzky, along with Dionne, Nicholls, Robitaille, Taylor and others. The second litho is entitled “Focus on Defence”, with signatures from Larry Robinson and Rob Blake. Also included, we have a framed display signed by Coach Roger Neilson and a trio of small matted Ken Danby prints. COAs will accompany for each Kings' lithograph.
The “A Time Out in Time” litho is 23” x 38” and was produced for the Kings 30th anniversary in 1997, with the artist also signing, and no issues for any of the autographs and light wear to the lithograph itself. The additional signers include Goring, Hrudey, Pulford, Robinson, Simmer and Rogie Vachon. The limited-edition number of “AP 10/102” (Artist Proof) has been added to the bottom left. The “Focus on Defence” litho is 19” x 26”, with the artist also signing and the limited-edition number of “AP 5/50” (Artist Proof) added to the bottom left. The Neilson display includes an image of Kings’ uniforms through the years, with a plaque beneath listing his stats from his season behind the bench in 1983-84. Neilson has added a silver signature with no issues, framed to 14 ½” x 22”. The Danby prints are all 6” x 7” (exposed) and matted to 11” 14”, and include “Lacing Up”, “The Skates” and “At the Crease”. The group is in immaculate condition with no issues.
