Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2021
Remembered for his thundering shot, even once splitting the mask of Mike Liut, Al MacInnis spent over two decades in the NHL shared between Calgary and St Louis, and was just the fourth defenceman in NHL history to register 100 points in a season. This stick was used by the star blueliner during the mid-1980s while with the Flames. A Canadien 6001 Fibreglass model, “MacInnis” is stamped to the shaft, with “2” handwritten. There is a factory code along the underside of the shaft, with all three striping accents intact along with the original black tape on the blade and white ribbed-pattern over the handle. The stick shows light game-use, with wear to the blade and a few marks including red paint transfer to the shaft.
