Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin’s 2016-17 game-worn captain’s jersey with the NHL Centennial patch is photo-matched to the regular season and playoffs. Ovi, who recorded his 1,000th point on Jan. 11, 2017, wore this beauty with more than 15 team repairs for about 5-7 regular season games beginning in March, then on into the playoffs against Toronto and Pittsburgh. It is photo-matched to regular season games on March 28, when Ovi scored his 18th NHL hat trick against Minnesota, and April 4, as well as two first-round playoff games when Leafs forward Auston Matthews was a rookie, and Game 4 of the second round against Pittsburgh. Customized with a pair of additional fight straps and narrowed sleeve cuffs, the jersey has a size 58 flag tag in the collar. The MeiGray patch in the hem displays registry no. N05858 that appears on the accompanying Capitals LOA, which notes the jersey is a "White Set 3 / Playoffs w/C, w/ NHL Centennial Patch" as also noted in the MeiGray population report.
There are some seven team repairs on the lower left sleeve and six team repairs on the right sleeve, including one to the left of the No. 8 and the NHL 100 patch.
