A fifth round draft selection of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2003, Brett Sterling was a member of the U.S. NTDP U17 program, and spent four seasons at Colorado College before making his NHL debut with Atlanta in 2007-08. This signed Thrashers jersey sports all the proper specifications of the examples worn by the club, with this style seeing use in 1999-00 (those have the affixed NHL 2000 patch), with Sterling only wearing the #53 with the club in the 2006-07 preseason (with no alternate’s “A”). A CCM label with attached size “56” fly tag resides along the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse hem. Featuring a textured and multi-coloured Thrashers team crest, the V-neck sweater has been embellished with stylized dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Sterling has signed the reverse “5” in black marker, with the signature bleeding into the background material slightly. The jersey remains in beautiful condition with no discernible marks. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
