Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Currently the oldest player competing in the NHL, Zdeno Chara has captained the Boston Bruins since 2006-07, with the especially large defenceman making nine appearances at the NHL All-Star Game throughout his career thus far. Most likely produced to commemorate his inaugural participation in the best-on-best showcase, we have a pair of 2003 NHL All-Star Game gloves signed by the Czech star. Eagle models in white and black with logos over each thumb guard, “2003 All-Star Game Eastern Conference #3 Zdeno Chara Ottawa Senators” is embroidered to each glove. Chara has signed both gloves in gold over the top beneath the wrist padding, with the signature on the right glove somewhat light from handling. The gloves themselves were never used and show light wear, and we should note that while Chara didn’t wear these exact gloves in the 2003 All-Star Game, he did wear similar Eagle models.
