Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
One of the strongest and most physically intimidating players of his era, Emile “Butch” Bouchard starred on the Montreal Canadiens blue line for fifteen seasons, with four Stanley Cup championships won. Enshrined in 1966 and passing in 2012, Bouchard’s #3 was retired by the Habs in 2009. This 20 ½” x 48” vinyl banner, a smaller version of the style that hangs from the rafters of the Bell Centre, proclaims his active years and is signed in gold near the base by the deceased star. The signature is somewhat dark and blends into the background material, with light wear to the banner itself including a horizontal crease visible midway down. The absolute perfect display piece for Habs fans, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany, along with a small wooden rod to insert into the top of the banner to facilitate hanging.
