Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Claiming Lord Stanley’s trophy – the first since 1960, the Montreal Canadiens defeated Bobby Hull and his Chicago Black Hawks during the 1965 finals, with Jean Beliveau earning the first Conn Smythe Trophy in history as the MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs. This limited-edition 20 ½” x 50” vinyl banner, a smaller version of the style that hangs from the rafters of the Bell Centre, proclaims the Cup win and is signed in clear blue sharpie by legendary deceased HOF superstar, Jean Beliveau. The signature has been placed over the upper left with no issues, hand-numbered “1/4” directly beneath, with just light wear to the banner itself. The absolute perfect display piece for Habs fans, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany, along with a small wooden rod to insert into the top of the banner to facilitate hanging.
