Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Lumber hailing from the famous Montreal Canadiens is offered, with a collection of four sticks from the 1970s. First, we have a circa mid-1970s Sher-Wood goal stick used by Bunny Larocque, with the original white tape over the blade and knob, with “Larocque” and “1” stamped to the upper shaft. The stick shows heavy use with a chunk missing from the toe section of the blade. Next, we have a circa mid-1970s Sher-Wood PMP model used by Mario Tremblay, with the original white tape over the handle and knob, with “Tremblay” and “14” stamped to the upper shaft. The stick shows light use with the blade tape removed and a crack showing. This is followed by a harder-to-find Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger model issued to Guy Lafleur during the mid-1970s, with “Lafleur” factory graphics gracing each side of the shaft, with both striping accents now gone. There is light age and storage wear to the stick, with some minor white discolouration along the top side of the shaft. Rounding out the lot, we have a circa mid-to-late-1970s Canadian Fibergalss model used by John Van Boxmeer (possibly while with Colorado), with “John Van Boxmeer” on the upper shaft along with the original white spiral pattern tape job on the handle, with the blade tape removed. There is an illegible date stamp on the shaft, with the blade cracked along the underside.
