Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A mixed bag of goodies ready to augment any vintage collection, included, we have 19 items ranging from the 1930s to 1970s. First, we have a 1961-62 York Peanut Butter card album, and it remains unused, in excellent condition, with some minor wear and rusting to a staple. Next, we have a rarely-seen Boston Bruins 1934-43 Bee Hive team shield (3 ½” x 4 ¼”) in beautiful condition, a 1970s Pierre Tremblay Forum card game that appears complete, with wear to the cards and box, and a circa 1940s WAHL athletic massager in the original pictorial box (complete, with a split to an apron on the box). This is followed by an Allan Shields premium (trimmed), two 1970s media photos (one features Dryden being scored on by the Leafs), a Johnny Bower signed 1969-70 Leafs team-issued photo (8” x 10”), a Ted Lindsay vintage photo (6 ½” x 8 ½”, with a stamp from Turofsky on the reverse and toning on one side. This is the image used for his 1951-52 Parkhurst card), a 1950s Northland catalog featuring hockey sticks, a 1952-53 Pilot Mound Hockey Team photo (9” x 11”), a 1946-47 Winnipeg Amphitheater skating program, and late-1960s Cooper hockey score book (just light wear). Rounding out the lot, we have a trio of 1940s postcards filled out by NYR player Jack Mann (heavy wear, two have hockey content, with the return address Madison Square Garden for all three), a 1962 Hockey Digest, 1959-60 NHL Press Guide, 1947-48 Quaker Oats Hap Day booklet (heavy wear with tape) and a 1948-49 NHL All-Stars booklet (writing to the interior and cover).
