Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Lumber used during the early-1900s is featured in this neat lot of antique sticks which includes both hockey and ice polo examples featuring both one and two-piece construction. Included, we have an early-1900s “Petson” ice polo stick with desirable rounded blade, with a 30” shaft and wear to the underside (early ice polo sticks with maker’s logos are extremely hard to locate), followed by a second ice polo stick (31”), with “No 80” stamped over the lower shaft, with moderate wear present. Next, we have a one-piece Hespeler Green Flash model stick from the circa late-1930s possibly early-1940s, with intact green accent and some of the original silver foil lettering, with the 52” stick showing nice use with no cracks or heavy wear (Bobby Hull used Green Flash models during his youth). The fourth stick is a two-piece CCM Pastime model from circa-1940s, with the stampings faded and a spiral tape pattern over the upper shaft and blade, with the 51” stick showing nice use and remaining uncracked. Lastly, we have a circa-1920s one-piece stick with “Youth’s” stamped to the shaft and the original 98 cents price handwritten on the blade.
