Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Winning back-to-back gold medals with his nation at the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships, Marc Staal also represented Canada at the 2010 IIHF World Championships, where the offered jersey was worn. An IIHF label with Nike “62” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an IIHF patch over the reverse lower hem. Styled with the familiar Hockey Canada team logo with embroidered detailing, the polyester jersey sports tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching vintage-style Canada crests over each sleeve along with sponsorship patches from Zebster. An inventory bar code from Nike has been added to the inside hem, with an LOA from Hockey Canada to accompany.
Exhibiting very light use, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. We should note that Team Canada wore red jerseys on May 8th vs Italy, May 10th vs Latvia and May 18th vs the Czech Republic.
