Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Producing some of the world’s greatest hockey players, Russia has a long history of dominating international tournaments, with the Central Red Army a formidable opponent for any team. We offer a trio of Russian jerseys, with a pair of UCKA Central Red Army sweaters from the 1990s, along with a Moscow Spartak jersey from the 2000s. The UCKA jerseys include a well-worn white mesh #26 sweater and a like-new heavy mesh #23 jersey with “Yevstigneyev” screened on a mesh nameplate. Both have “XL” tags in the collar, with the white jersey showing heavy game use with black stick marks throughout, loads of repairs and unrepaired holes on the shortened sleeves and peeling/cracking of the screened letters and stars. The length of the jersey has also been shortened. Everything is screened on the red sweater which does not show any game use. The Spartak jersey has a Russian Label with “52” sizing, with all identifiers including the team crest and numbers sublimated. Showing nice use with a few marks present along with light staining, the reverse has been signed in black marker, with the signature displaying well. Addendum; according to information received the #26 UCKA jersey would have been worn by Stanislav Panfilenkov.
