Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/1/2022
A fan favourite throughout his considerable time with the Boston Bruins, serving as the club’s most tenured team captain, Ray Bourque transitioned from Beantown to Denver after 21 seasons and spent a pair of seasons with the Ave which included winning a Stanley Cup his final year. This signed stick was used by the iconic blueliner during his time with Colorado in the early-2000s. A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with “Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque” on the underside. The stick retains the original white tape over the shaved handle/knob (now yellowing, with “8” and two dots handwritten) and black tape on the blade, with Bourque signing the frontside in silver, with the signature presenting beautifully. Just very light game-use is exhibited including wear to the taped handle. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
