The American League MVP in 2004, Vladimir Guerrero was known as a “bad-ball hitter”, able to make contact with pitches outside the strike zone. The Dominican would earn eight Silver Slugger Awards during his Hall of Fame career, along with nine All-Star selections. This bat was used by Guerrero during his stint with the Montreal Expos, between 2001 and 2003. A Louisville Slugger H238 model featuring “Vladimir Guerrero” and “Montreal Expos” branding on the barrel, the 34” lumber has Vlad’s number “27” handwritten over the knob. The handle is coated with a good layer of pine tar/Mota sticker while game use is evident in the form of numerous ball marks and paint transfers while remaining uncracked. The back of the barrel features the MLB and TPX logos. Guerrero has signed a black ink signature underneath the Expos brand that displays well despite it appearing as though the marker was dying out. A JSA sticker numbered “AC82016” is affixed beside the signature and is accompanied by a matching certificate of authenticity.
