A standout with the Russian national team throughout his career, Ilya Kovalchuk skated for five different NHL clubs but is best remembered for his time with Atlanta, enjoying his highest-scoring season with the Thrashers in 2005-06. The stick was used by the superstar during the mid-2000s. A Warrior Dolemite model with "I. Kovalchuk" factory graphics, there is a production number on the underside of the shaft, with the stick painted black on the lower section (Kovalchuk used examples with the lower shaft painted during the second half of 2005-06 and early-on in 2006-07). The original white tape on the blade and black over the handle and knob is intact, with light game-use showing, with wear to the underside of the blade as well as a few marks to the taped section. There is also residue on the shaft from the stick previously being bundled with others. Hailing from the personal collection of a prominent hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
