Scoring 42 points in 53 games for Ak Bars Kazan during the NHL lockout season of 2004-05, Ilya Kovalchuk returned to the Atlanta Thrashers in 2005-06, and scored a career-high 98 points. This stick was used by the superstar in 2005-06 with the Thrashers. A Warrior Starskie model with “I. Kovalchuk” factory graphics, the original white tape remains on the blade and black over the handle, with the lower shaft and blade painted black (Getty Image #71498701 shows a matching painted model). Great game-use is exhibited with wear to the underside of the blade and puck marks to each side, with additional marks as well as a few small sticky areas to the shaft.
