Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Exhibiting considerable handling and wear is this example of Bobby Orr’s always-in-demand 1966-67 Topps rookie card, with however much/most of it being of the peripheral type; affecting the border and corners and not Bobby’s classic image as a brush cut teenager. Also noticeable/notable is the hue/tint of the card – darker than the majority that we see. The back is without issue and legible and we always enjoy the fashion in which the short write-up ends; “A rushing defenceman who can set up goals as well as score them.” And how! For those of you who have yet to score an Orr and not wanting to dig too deep, this example is a perfect “1”.
