Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A trio of hockey card issues is featured here, led by a 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee uncut sheet that includes the rookie card of leader extraordinaire Mark Messier. A one-inch vertical peripheral crease is to report in the Messier RC, located in the fifth row from the bottom, with Keon and Langway (RC) among the limited star presence. Hall of Famers though dominate (16/24) a cool complete set of ’80-81 "Super" photos, with Gretzky and company combining on an approximately 19” by 43” sheet. Two nifty ’83-84 Vachon sheets (26” x 28”) feature Canadian teams and will have you perusing for Wayne and multiple appearances of Messier, Coffey, Kurri, Lafleur, Robinson, Stastny and Goulet. Fun, fun, with more details on our website.
Minimal handling/wear is observed in the ’80-81 OPC sheet, while a side-to-side crease (but little else) affects the sheet featuring 5” by 7” cards. Creasing in the Vachon representatives is not drastic, with all sheets featuring correctly printed backs.
