A product of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Adam Foote began his career in Quebec and transitioned with the club to Colorado in 1995, starring for the Avalanche in two different stints. This Colorado jersey was worn by the Toronto native during the 2001-02 Stanley Cup playoffs, and it’s been photo-matched to the Western Conference Finals. A label with attached size “58” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem. Styled with a textured Aves team crest with embroidered detailing, “52” appears over the sleeves and verso, with matching alternate Bigfoot crests over each shoulder. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
Sporting heavy game-use, there are numerous dark marks throughout, with large stick and puck marks over the reverse and sleeves. There is also some red paint transfer over the reverse and left elbow, with a small slit near the left cuff. Getty Image #571328 (May 22, 2002 - Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals) has been matched to the long black mark to the right of the number "2" on the reverse, as well as to the black mark between the "5" and the "2". A few other smaller marks are also matched as well. Additionally, Getty Image #571333 (also from Game 3) has been matched to the long black mark to the right of the number "2" on the reverse, to the 3 squarish black marks to the left of the team crest, and to a number of marks on the lower right sleeve. We should also note that in the May 25th and May 29th games Foote is wearing an alternate captain's jersey.
