Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Spanning over 30 seasons and featuring the father and son duo of Jean-Paul and Zach Parise, we offer two multi-signed sticks that saw action from the pair, with lumber used by J.P. while with Minnesota in 1971-72, along with a stick that saw use in the hands of Zach while with New Jersey in 2007-08. First, the J.P. stick is a Northland Custom Pro model with “Parise” stamped midway down the shaft and “11” handwritten, with additional stamps on either side from supplier A&B Sporting Goods. The original black tape is in place over the blade and white over the handle, with the date of “3/19/72” handwritten in red on the top side of the shaft. The stick shows nice use and remains solid, with approx 11 signing including Gump Worsley, Dean Prentice, Ted Hampson, Danny Grant and the Boston Bruins Phil Esposito (the signatures all show heavy fading). Zach’s stick is an Easton TorX model with “9 Parise” factory graphics, with the original black cloth wrap on the handle, with the blade tape removed to facilitate the 19 silver paint pen signatures covering the blade and shaft including Martin Brodeur, Mike Rupp, Mike Mottau, Sheldon Brookbank, Dainius Zubrus and others. A number of the signatures on the shaft show wear from being handled, with just light overall game use to the stick itself.
